Thank you for your patience during the development of Silhouette_TM live video avatar technology and the Nexos_TM. I have some good news.

We are pleased to announce that we are in the final stage before making the technology publicly available. As a first step Silhouette will be made available to the Cybertown_® community prior to full public release.

As you can imagine, launching a technology like this costs a great deal in separate server and bandwidth costs and IVN has been funding all the development out of its own pocket. In order to help cover costs IVN was until recently planning to charge CT members $4.95 per month plus a penny per minute for Silhouette use. The fee for non-CT members to use Silhouette is expected to be $19.95 per month plus usage costs.

However, I have succeeded in helping IVN management reconsider this. In appreciation of the loyalty, contributions and patience of CT subscribers, IVN has agreed to offer the first 500 members who express their interest by pre-registering for Silhouette (no payment required) full Silhouette capability including the Silhouette software and Nexos access and their CT fee included. In other words, you will get full CT access included in your Silhouette/Nexos monthly membership payment. This means that when Silhouette is available, by pre-registering (no commitment) you will get both Silhouette and CT for slightly less than CT alone! But only if you pre-register.

The only thing IVN cannot do is waive the penny a minute fee for Silhouette use (not Cybertown use which has no per minute fee) but they will provide sliding scale and unlimited use packages so that the more active Silhouette users don't end up having to spend prohibitive amounts.

In order to qualify for this offer you will need to pre-register using the form provided via the link at the bottom of this page. You will not be required to pay anything at this time. Members who apply after the first 500 will be approved for Silhouette with included CT on an individual basis.

As you know, Silhouette is a revolutionary technology that enables live video avatars in 3D spaces that can communicate with realtime audio-visual synchronization. Using your webcam, Silhouette takes your live image, extracts the background and places you in the 3D environment where you can move around and communicate as a live video avatar.

Subscription members can use Silhouette to communicate with distant family and friends in groups while seeing and hearing them and still being in the 3D space. 3D object buyers and sellers could meet and communicate and see each other's facial expressions and there are numerous other potential applications including dating (IVN currently conducts its staff meetings utilizing Silhouette).
