Their "Justice" system

Earth's civil legal system is actually fairly straightforward and reasonably sane. Its criminal legal system, however, is an entirely different thing! Listen to these amazing things that are actually part and parcel of this system:

A criminal - even if provably guilty - cannot be tried twice for the same offense!

Evidence - even if it proves the criminal guilty - can be excluded from a trial if it's "judged" to have been obtained in a way that is not "technically" correct! So can evidence that a person previously committed a similar crime!

A person's guilt or innocence is dependent not on truth or evidence, but on whether he hired the more persuasive or more deceitful or tricky lawyer!

Attorneys actually argue that their clients should escape punishment due to their being insane! They fail to notice that of course he was insane, by definition, at the time he committed the crime.

Most times the jury is never aware that the charming well-dressed young man giving testimony resumes his prison uniform and handcuffs as soon as he leaves the courtroom and is returned to his cell.

There's something called Judgment of Verdict - whereby a judge can oversee a trial and have the jury spend hours and hours.........then, if he doesn't like their verdict, he can overule it!

To imprison one inmate costs ten times the average family income and once having served "time" he never has to make up the damage he has caused. The victim is usually never compensated.

People on Earth are even allowed to encourage violence and breed hatred in the name of "free speech". Pretty bizarre world indeed.
