The Live3D plug-in is what's known as a "bleeding-edge" (but nonetheless excellent) beta. This means anything could happen! Make sure you have the very latest version.

Another thing is that when you return to another page, the page you go to retains the palette of the VR and the background will look washed out. A temporary solution is to use ALT+TAB to make any other application (e.g. Newt) the main image and then minimize it. This will force the correct palette to return.
