There's a common misconception among Palace users, that the more time someone spends in a Palace and the more knowledge of the software he/she gets in time, the more rights he/she earns to be promoted to wizard status. While at least one of the previous two facts (time and knowledge) are indeed requirements (at least in our Palace), they're not the only things important. 

To increase your chances of being nominated for a wizard in Cybertown, you have to gain the trust and respect of the majority of the regular visitors, including wizards and non-wizards. This is something that is non-procedural by nature, meaning one can't really make a plan to accomplish this, if he/she doesn't really stand out of the rest by showing maturity, responsibility, by being creative, helpful and fun, and by being special in general. (Of course there's always pretending, but hey...what good will that do to all of us in the long run?) 

And even if you really are all those things mentioned above, there's no guarantee -or obligation on our part- that you will become a wizard in the end. We would really like to include as many people as possible in the wizard team, but you have to realize there are limits. It's only natural that the more people involved in administrative tasks the less the flexibility in problem-solving becomes, since the spectrum of opinions grows larger and more difficult to handle. 

Last, being a wizard is not the only way to participate and contribute more to our Palace. You can always apply for joining the "CT-Helpers" group, if you feel great about helping new users in getting around with the software and the CT-Palace features. You will also have the chance to work closely with the wizards team, help in organizing and running events, and more.
