1. Old Business:

The minutes from the last meeting were sent to CVN and Colony Boards have been updated.

2. C.E.R.B. update:

Virtual Worlds and Entertainment Colony will be ready to hold their votes next week. Voting will be concluded by Friday the 15th. If a 'lead' representative is not chosen between the final candidates, one will be appointed by Mayor Flyby that weekend, and C.E.R.B. will be officially announced on Monday September 18th. At that point the C.E.R.B. representatives will be able to start work on creating procedures for citizens to use when they request C.E.R.B. assistance. Council members will be available for help if needed.

3. Ban Record Removal:

After much discussion, it was agreed that if a person keeps their record clean for 6 months after their return from being excluded, the ban and information pertaining to it will be removed from their public record.

4. Security Update:

The previous suggestion that Security staff be able to receive alerts while in hidden mode, and for the alerts to include a link to the location the alerts is sent from, is still being considered. Flyby will try to obtain information on the status of that request.

Although the majority of hacking problems that existed in the past have been dealt with, Taz reminded everyone present that it's still a good idea to change their passwords occasionally. Alpha/numeric combinations are the safest to use. All citizens should practice this security measure.

Ban (Actionable Security Statistics) information will soon be publicized in CVN. For privacy, the information will not include the nicknames of those banned, but will show the number of bans, the type of bans and the punishments. This should give the citizens an idea of how Security is working to keep Cybertown clean safe place for all, and will hopefully cause potential trouble makers to think twice before creating a problem for themselves.

Taz will have a Complaint link to Security added to the Jail. Since C.E.R.B. will be dealing mainly in disputes and appeals for bans two weeks or longer, it was decided that a link to C.E.R.B. would not be necessary in the jail at this time.

5. V-Soccer:

Help is still needed in advertising the fun that could be had in participating in V-Soccer. Mayor Flyby has asked that all Colony Leaders help in getting the information out to their residents.

6. Lottery:

This very popular addition to Cybertown will be making a comeback soon. We will keep you posted!

Respectfully submitted: Cybertown City Council
