Each colony has a specific theme and distributes content based on that theme.  Residents are encouraged to live in areas that present themes and content that are of interest to them.  This will help to maximize the benefit of your citizenship in Cybertown.

What content does Hi-Tek provide?

Hi-Tek provides information and content about the latest scientific and engineering breakthroughs in many fields, and also provides resources relating to the latest and hottest technologies available, and even some that are in planning and research stages.

Each block message board contains a segment of our PortalNet.  Each piece contains resources relating to the topic of the block.  Each house message board is served with a complimentary news center called Hi-Tek Today.  This serves as our website and has links to colony resources, and provides news from the colony and around the high tech world.

Hi-Tek's Computing neighborhood, showcasing technologies such as Quantum Computing, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, and 64-bit Microprocessors.

Hi-Tek's Health/Medicine neighborhood, showcasing technologies such as Biochips, Genetic Customization, Bionic Organs, and Cryogenics.

Hi-Tek's Exploration neighborhood, showcasing technologies and ideas that will propel mankind to places never imagined, including the X-33 (VentureStar), Deep Ocean Exploration, the International Space Station, and Lunar Colonization.

Hi-Tek's neighborhood for extremely advanced technologies that are only among our wildest dreams and fantasies, including Time Travel, Molecular Transporters, Artificial Telepathy, and Nanotechnology.

Hi-Tek's Transportation neighborhood for advances in all forms of transportation, including Hypersonic Aircraft, Electric Cars, Anti-Matter Propulsion, and Perpetual Motion.

Hi-Tek's Environmental neighborhood for showcasing technologies that will save this planet, and hopefully allow us to colonize others, including Terraforming, Weather Modification, Artificial Gravity, and Induced Evolution.

Hi-Tek's Communication neighborhood, showcasing technologies that continue to make this planet seemingly smaller and smaller, including Video and Satellite phones, HDTV, Internet II, and Satellite Radio.

Hi-Tek's Multimedia neighborhood, showcasing technologies such as Organic Electroluminescent Displays, Holographic and 3D Television, and DVD-RAM drives.

Hi-Tek's Defense & Intelligence Acquisition neighborhood

Hi-Tek's Energy neighborhood, showcasing technologies that will power the Earth among a population explosion, including Fusion Power, Microwave Power, Synthetic Petroleum, and Fuel Cells.

Hi-Tek's Architectural Neighborhood, showcasing some of the most fascinating human creations on paper, including Arcologies, 7 South Dearborn, and the X-SEED 4000, whose design inspired this neighborhood's logo. The neighborhood will also showcase technologies to help us construct buildings higher and more efficiently, including Unfolding Metals.

Hi-Tek's neighborhood showcasing a 21st to 31st century economy and the new possibilities
of commerce on Earth or elsewhere, including Virtual Malls, Interplanetary Commerce, Global Stock Exchanges, and perhaps even the New World Trade Center.

Hi-Tek's neighborhood geared toward fostering interest in subjects responsible for the creation and growth of technology. Origins will feature blocks showcasing great minds such as Galileo, Archimedes, and Da VInci, and will also feature blocks based on subjects such as mathematics, logic, physics, and many forms of engineering. This neighborhood's goal is to inform and educate, in hopes of impacting many of Cybertown's young residents who may be considering a career in science or engineering.
