CYBERTOWN'S VR HUNT

Enter a Virtual Reality maze and hunt down Cybertown's stolen microchip. Get it and return to the Cybertown Security office and you will be rewarded as a hero.

To enter VR HUNT you will need the latest version of Netscape(2.0 or better) along with one of the following 3DVR viewers. Please select one of the following links to download a 3DVR viewer for your computer and then return here to play VR Hunt:

• Cybergate by Black Sun - Highly Recommended! This Netscape plug-in turns VR into multi-user environments. With Cybergate you can now explore VR with your friends in real-time and talk to them using the built-in chat function. Play VR Hunt with all your friends!
• Live3D by Netscape - Formerly called WebFX, the Live3D plug-in for Netscape features multimedia support and enhanced user controls.

Even if you do not have Netscape or the VR plug-ins, you can still experience the Cybertown Security office in 3D. You will need to stop by the Virtus Corporation's web site and get the free Virtus Player for your computer in order to view these models. Select your platform:

The Cybergate and Live3D plug-ins are what is known as a "bleeding-edge" beta. This means anything could happen! Make sure you have the very latest version (2.0 or above). Note that Netscape 2.0 will only work with the very latest Cybergate or Live3D plug-ins.

Also, when you click on a hotlink in VR HUNT, the page you go to retains the color palette of the VR and looks washed out. A temporary solution is to use ALT+TAB to make any other application (e.g. Newt) the main image and then minimize it. This will force the correct palette to return. This will also fix the messed up palette that occurs when going back to another web page from this page. Back to Top
